Princess Charlotte's Christening Pictures!

The pictures of this historic event have finally been released. And let me warn you - CUTENESS OVERLOAD!
We have, clockwise, starting from left: Michael Middleton, Pippa Middleton, James Middleton, Carole Middleton, HRH The Prince of Wales (Charles), HRH The Duchess of Cornwall (Camilla), HRH The Duke of Edinburgh (Phillip), HM The Queen (Elizabeth), HRH The Duchess of Cambridge (Kate), HRH The Princess of Cambridge (Charlotte), HRH The Prince of Cambridge (George), HRH The Duke of Cambridge (William). This is a beautiful shot that encompasses the general feeling of the christening: happiness. Since Charlotte is not the heir to the throne, everything could be more relaxed and have a general atmosphere of celebration without the responsibility tied to it. Notably absent? Uncle Harry, who is currently on a three month tour of Africa, his first post-military action.
Isn't that beautiful? This is the first time we have seen the family of four together in an official photograph. The pictures were taken in the drawing room of Sandringham Palace and in the gardens. As my mother astutely noted (after me screaming to her that the pictures were up and to check her computer ;), both children seem to have large personalities. Prince George is already a serious little man who will be able to be in a position of power with ease, while Princess Charlotte has these large, soulful eyes that demarcate a great personality.
Mario Testino
Many people are curious as to the quality of this photograph, but I think that it has a wonderful, family-photo-album kind of feel to it. And, look at this beautiful baby! She has the cheeks, just like big bro George. In all of these pictures Kate looks genuinely happy and excited for the days to come.
Look who gave us a big smile! This is the first time that we have seen the little prince give more than a half grin. And what a cute grin he has! Prince George obviously has a strong bond with his dad, and William is obviously thrilled to have Prince George with him. The photographer for these pictures, Mario Testino, was a favorite of Diana's and also shot William and Kate's engagement pictures (the first christening pictures were taken by Jason Bell). I like these much more than George's christening pictures.
The two bear a striking resemblance to each other. Have a wonderful day, fellow royal watchers, and I will hopefully be posting soon! There are no engagements on the calendar of late, but there should be some coming up before they depart for Balmoral. Enjoy this beautiful Thursday!
