Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana's Christening

Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was christened today.

She was christened at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene at the Sandringham Estate, which was chosen primarily because of it's location (close to Anmer Hall), but also because Princess Diana was christened here. As per tradition, she wore the (recently remade) christening gown that all royal babies since Queen Victoria's children have worn.

Her pram has a story as well:
The ceremony was tiny - as was George's. In addition to William and Kate, HM The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, Carole and Michael Middleton, Pippa and James, and the five godparents.
Charlotte was baptized in the Lily Font, which Queen Victoria and Prince Albert commissioned in 1840:

In a turn of events, five people were named godparents, as opposed to George's six:

Laura Fellowes - At age 34, the Hon. Laura Fellowes is Prince William's cousin, the daughter of Diana's older sister. She is very close to the Cambridge family.

Adam Middleton - Kate's cousin and he works in Mayfair. The cousins are friendly with each other and he is known for his loyalty.

Sophie Carter - She and Kate have been friends for a very long time. She keeps a low profile but is always there for Kate (and now Charlotte).

James Meade - A good friend of both William and Kate. He has known William since Eton, but has been friends with both of them even during their breakup.

Thomas van Straubenzee - One of William's closest friends. They have known each other since Ludgrove prep school in Berkshire. Known as "Van" to friend, he is one who they can count on.

Notice a trend? All of them have known the Duke and Duchess for a long time - and they are all known for their loyalty.

Kate was wearing a bespoke McQueen coat dress, and a Jane Taylor Millinery fascinator.

Prince George was wearing an outfit remarkably similar to one that William wore when he met Harry for the first time.
As always, George managed to steal the spotlight (with help from none other than the Queen herself!)

Charlotte looked lovely, as did George, Kate, and William!
Congrats, William and Kate! Your daughter is beautiful, and the world couldn't be happier.
