The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are Pleased to Announce they are Expecting!

As I woke up this morning, I rolled over and looked at my phone. Before I saw all the press announcements, I saw a text from my Grandma: "Have a good day! Was just watching Channel 7 News and Kate and William are pregnant!"
I literally screamed.
Well, folks, it's official: Kensington Palace released a statement!
"Their Royal Highnesses the Duke are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child.

The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.

As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering Hypermesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany the Duke of Cambridge to their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace."

We extend our heartiest congratulations to the couple! Kate has Hypermesis Gravidarum again, which is a devastating condition, and during her pregnancy with George she had it as well. At the time, William stated that: "I don't know why they call it morning sickness - they should call it all-day and all-night sickness."
The two are doting parents, so I am sure the new baby will be made at home with Prince George.

Unfortunately, Kate and William were forced to make the difficult decision to announce their pregnancy early (again), as Kate couldn't come to the engagement today.  As it looks, she probably won't be attending the Invictus events either. People are questioning the possibility of the Malta trip, which, again, seems to be a no. Seems like we won't be seeing her for a while!
The morning sickness seems to have hit her quite suddenly, because just over 1 week ago they were seen on a dinner date and running through Kings Cross (If you haven't already read about it, you can do so here.) This is an especially unfortunate time for it to hit (at least for us - she is probably relieved) because she doesn't have to do another round of engagements. This means she hasn't hit the 12 week mark, as her due-month would be released along with that.
I wonder how Prince George is going to take to his sibling! He seems like the kind of kid who wants everything done his way, now, so I am assuming that he won't be thrilled. Of course, having siblings close in age is very nice.

Kate is going to be treated by (and is currently under the care of) Alan Farthing. Marcus Setchell, who delivered George, has retired. Harry noted earlier that Kate was feeling "pretty poorly" which can be translated to mean she is feeling like crap. Hopefully she will be feeling better in a few weeks time (Can we assume they are feeling this happy!)
William said a few words in regard to his wife's pregnancy today while at the Dickson Poon Centre: "She's feeling okay, thanks. It's been a tricky few days...a week or so. But obviously we are immensely thrilled. It is great news, early days. We're hoping to things settle down and she feels a bit better."
I think we can all join them in the joy of expecting another child! I will update as things progress. Congrats, Cambridges!
